Kim Kardashian seems to be moving on with her divorce despite pleas from Kanye “Ye” West to stay in the marriage.
Kardashian filed documents, obtained first by TMZ, through the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (Feb. 23), explaining how Kardashian believes that West is attempting to delay the divorce and continues to cause “emotional distress” in the process.
CNN reports that within the documents Kardashian states, “I very much desire to be divorced,” continuing with, “I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so. Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress.”
Kardashian was married to the famous rapper for seven years before filing for divorce in February of last year. The divorce started off respectfully as they both would co-parent their 4 children. The relationship started to take a different turn within the past couple of months as Kardashian started her new relationship with comedian Pete Davidson.
West started to become very vocal on social media about Kardashian, their children, and Kardashian’s new relationship with Davidson. Most of the postings are now deleted from West’s social media account. However, West has left one post up about Davidson with the caption, “Ran Skete off the gram Tell your mother I changed your name for life.” Referring to Davidson as “Skete” in this instance.
Kardashian continues to move forward with the divorce and these filings are just another step in the process.
