Kim Petras is getting us ready for Halloween with a special mixtape and we’re all about it.
Inspired by Kim’s love of horror movies, TURN OFF THE LIGHT VOL. 1 turns the page to her dark side; trading her hyper-bubblegum sound for bloodthirsty beats, euphoric hooks, and sinister pop synths.
Adding eight new tracks to Kim’s fearsome catalogue of hits, TURN OFF THE LIGHT VOL. 1 welcomes atmospheric club instrumentals alongside “Close Your Eyes,” a spellbinding, thriller-esque earworm. Also featured are singles “Tell Me It’s A Nightmare,” “In The Next Life,” and “Turn Off The Light,” which enlists the help of cult, horror icon Elvira, Mistress of the Dark for a spoken word bridge.
“Kim’s new mixtape is so good it’s SCARY!” says Elvira on the project. “I’m thrilled to be a part of it!”
TURN OFF THE LIGHT VOL. 1 follows the recent release of Kim’s sugar-laden single “All The Time” and the start of her first nationwide tour performing alongside Troye Sivan on The Bloom Tour. Kim’s shimmering pop confessional “Heart To Break” is quickly heating up, having garnered more than 13 million combined streams, adding to Kim’s over 50 million total streams.
