Some non-basketball Lakers news has been made as owner Jeanie Buss is set to wed comedian Jay Mohr after the two have been dating for a while.
The announcement was surprising to some because the two have not made a substantial public deal about their connection, but at the same time, some people, especially basketball fans, have been aware of the couple for a while now.
Buss is the daughter of the late Jerry Buss; Buss owned the Lakers while Jeanie grew up, and the team was then passed to Jeanie and her siblings following Jerry’s death. With that said, Jeanie is the team president and the franchise’s representative on the NBA Board of Governors.
As for Mohr, the New Jersey-born performer is known for multiple things, including being a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1993-1995 and appearing in and making his film debut in the iconic Jerry Maguire.
Mohr has lived in Los Angeles for a long time now, and aside from his acting and comedy career, Mohr is widely known for being a talk-show host. Mohr and Buss have possibly been familiar with one another over the years as Mohr frequented Lakers games from time to time, and now it seems as if the two have indeed found love.
All in all, we wish these two lovebirds a loving and healthy relationship now and forever.
