Actor Ray Liotta, best known for his role in Martin Scorsese’s film, GoodFella’s, has died at the age of 67.
Liotta’s publicist, Jennifer Allen, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actor died in his sleep Wednesday night or early Thursday morning in his hotel room. The outlet reports that the actor was in the Dominican Republic where he was making the film Dangerous Waters. Liotta had been working on the film for about a week.
Tributes for the star have been pouring in since the knowledge of his passing. Jennifer Lopez, who starred alongside Liotta in the tv series Shades of Blue, paid her respect in a series of tweets.
Lopez shared in one tweet, “Ray was my partner in crime on Shades of Blue … the first thing that comes to mind is he so was kind to my children. Ray was the epitome of a tough guy who was all mushy on the inside … I guess that’s what made him such a compelling actor to watch. The original Goodfella.”
