Get ready Bachelor Nation, because this is sure to be a season like no other!
The Bachelorette made its exciting return last night (July 12), and viewers were in for a memorable first night! To recap, the last season of The Bachelor ended in heartbreak for two contestants Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. This was because the bachelor, Clayton Echard, dumped the two after he revealed his heart was still with Susie Evans, despite her leaving the show the week before.
Bachelor Nation was up in arms defending Windey and Recchia after Echard decided to go with Evans. But it seemed to work out in the end, because on the “After the Final Rose” special, viewers found out that both Windey and Recchia would become the next Bachelorettes.
So of course, to begin last night’s premiere of season 19 of The Bachelorette viewers were reminded of what occurred last season and how the girls feel now. Both Windey and Recchia shared that they were excited to start their journey to find love.
However, even the host, Jesse Palmer, was upfront about how he was unsure how this was going to work. The show has never had two bachelorettes…at least not at the same time.
With the first night still looming ahead, will the two bachelorettes be able to navigate this tricky road?
