LILHUDDY (aka Chase Hudson) just released his second single, “The Eulogy of You and Me” today along with a music video.
Co-written by LILHUDDY along with Blink-182’s Travis Barker, this pop-punk track talks about the relief one gets after ending a toxic relationship and finally being able to be free again.
“This song is a way for me to connect with my fans on a more personal level,” LILHUDDY shared. “I hope they sing it at the top of their lungs whenever they’re going through that type of situation.”
The music video was directed by Joseph Khan and throughout it, the viewer sees the toxicity of the relationship between LILHUDDY and the girl while mostly focusing on the couple’s wedding. At the end of the film’s story, the couple kisses right before the ground swallows them.
“When I thought about the video for ‘The Eulogy of You and Me,’ I imagined a wedding-funeral that signaled the death of a relationship,” LILHUDDY tweeted. “I envisioned us falling into a rabbit hole, filled with the memories of the relationship that was buried.”
