If you a celebrity fanatic, lover of game shows, or just want some pure nightly entertainment, Claim To Fame your arena this summer.
For those who don’t know, Claim to Fame follows the premise of celebrity relatives all competing against each other for a $100,000 cash prize. To win it, the challenge includes keeping your TRUE identity concealed from the other players. Clues are also placed throughout each episode to help both the contestants and the audience watching at home guess which celebrity their favorite is related to. If a person’s identity is revealed, they are eliminated from the competition.
In yesterday’s episode (August 7), two contestants formed an alliance while the challenge had everyone piecing together paper shreds for clues. A “power player” was targeted in the Guess Off, and one of our favorites was sent home.

In “Absolutely Shredded,” the last six contestants — J.R., Gabriel, Monay, Karsyn, Hugo and Chris — literally scrambled to out together shreds of paper to help them figure out the identity of the remaining housemates. To no surprise, Gabriel and Chris both won the episode’s challenge. With Gabriel ranked as team captain and gaining immunity, he was able to receive an opportunity to visit the clue room.
Knowing that the only clue left in the room was his own, Gabriel invited Chris to join him as he’s the only person he can trust at this point. As they both tried to decode it the paper that was filled with babies, the screen flashed to a confessional where Gabriel hinted that his celebrity relative is most likely Nick Cannon.

While deciding who should be named the guesser, the group came to a consensus that they would put Hugo in the hot seat to try and reveal someone’s identity.
There’s a theory going around that J.R. is related to pop sensation Lil Nas X, as a recent clue hinted at something along the lines of “bold artist who went to the old town road.” However, after recalling key points from earlier in the day, Hugo, Monay and Karsyn were convinced that Chris — who they see as a threat — was related to Elton John.
CHRIS, GABRIEL
Citing that colorful coats, ballet shoes (a nod to “Tiny Dancer”) and an astronaut (a nod to “Rocketman”) all pointed in Chris’ direction, Hugo brought Chris to the platform to confidently share that he was related to Elton John. After the countdown revealed that Hugo was incorrect with his guess, it was revealed that Hugo is related to the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter.
After the episode aired, Hugo took to Instagram to reflect on his time competing on Claim to Fame while dropping a huge bombshell.
“I’m dating Olivia,” he revealed.

Olivia, who was also a contestant on the show, was eliminated last week when it was revealed that she was related to Jenny McCarthy.
With only a few more episodes until the grand finale, we plan on keeping our eyes peeled for all the possible clues while watching every Monday night at 10PM ET/PT on ABC and the following day on Hulu.
