Margot Robbie’s name seems to be fitting for an iconic heist movie like Ocean’s Eleven.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Warner Brothers is getting ready to bring back more Ocean’s movies and are looking at Robbie to take part in the film both as an actor and producer.
The outlet reports the film will be directed by Jay Roach, who worked with Robbie on the 2019 film, Bombshell. Robbie will also be producing alongside both Roach and Tom Ackerley.
The details of the film are still under wraps, but THR did say that the new film will take place in the 1960s and “be an original Ocean’s Eleven.” However, the outlet did report the film is still awaiting to be greenlight to begin production.
The original Ocean’s Eleven became a huge success after it was released in 2001, and sequels quickly followed. In 2018, Ocean’s Eight was released and the film took a unique spin on Ocean’s Eleven. Actress, Sandra Bullock, played Danny Ocean’s sister as she created a team of powerful women to heist none other than the Met Gala. The film included big names like Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, and Cate Blanchett.
If this upcoming film with Robbie is anything like the original or Ocean’s Eight, it is sure to become a fan-favorite!
