There’s no rest when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. Disney and Marvel just announced the official release dates for their next SIX upcoming films!
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the poduction and release of these films were delayed but now they’re back and they’re coming sooner than we know it!
Here’s a list of all the Marvel movies officially slotted to release up until 2022!

Black Widow (July 9th, 2021)
After the release date was initially pushed over a year, fans will now be able to watch the origin story of Avengers’ very own Black Widow! The movie will be released in theaters AND Disney+‘s Premier Access this summer on July 9th, 2021. (Also, an important note for you Marvel lovers: Disney+ Original Series Marvel’s Loki will also be releasing its fifth episode on that day as well. Double the Marvel content!)
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (September 3rd, 2021)
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is coming to theaters on September 3rd, 2021. The film was initially was supposed to release on Black Widow‘s release date, but got pushed back due to the schedule. Actor Simu Liu, who stars in the film, took to Twitter to express his excitement for the film release, saying: “It’s like that Zoom meeting you’re super excited for that keeps getting pushed for reasons beyond your control but you know it’s gonna be awesome when it happens! Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings arrives in theaters September 3rd. GET VACCINATED!” Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the first Asian-led film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
The Eternals (November 5th, 2021)
The film which includes a star-studded cast of Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, and more is coming to theaters on November 5th! The film will uncover the sentient species called the Eternals and what happens to them after the tragic events of Avengers: Endgame.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17th, 2021)
After the exciting announcement of the official title of the third Spider-Man film and the release of teaser photos, Marvel announced that the official date of release for Spider-Man: No Way Home is on December 17th, 2021. There are no complete details on the film just yet, but we’re so excited to see Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, and Zendaya back on the big screen!
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (March 25th, 2022)
If the WandaVision post-credits finale was just a smidgen of what to expect in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, then we can hardly wait for this film! No full details for this film yet either, but the word multiverse definitely makes us tingle just a little bit.
Thor: Love and Thunder (May 6, 2022)
Directed by the iconic Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on May 6th, 2022! We’ll get to see what new adventure Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will take on with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Photos of the stars on set were released recently, making us more excited for the film!
