Meghan Trainor is DOMINATING the music industry right now, and we aren’t complaining one bit!
The 20-year-old Epic Records’ recording artist has made history with her debut single “All About That Bass.” The track commands the Billboard Hot 100 for an eighth week, rewriting the record for the longest-fuling No. 1 ever released on Epic Records. It also has become the longest-leading No. 1 by a woman this year.
Meghan is up for the “New Artist of the Year” award at the 2014 American Music Awards. She will compete against 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Bastille and Sam Smith. Fans can start voting on Nov. 1st at AMAvote.com through the first hour of the ABC live broadcast on Nov. 23rd. She will also be performing “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin” on NBC’s Today on Nov. 3rd and it was just announced that she will perform “All About That Bass” with Miranda Lambert on the CMA Awards on Nov. 5th. She will also appear on Nickelodeon’s HALO Awards on Nov. 30th.
