The Met Gala is coming back to its usual date with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to co-host the event!
Fashion’s biggest night will take place on the first Monday of May, and Vogue took to social media today (March 17) announce their co-chairs for this year’s event.
Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King, and Lin-Manuel Miranda are set to be the hosts for the night. Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, and head of Instagram Adam Mosseri will also be honorary co-chairs.

The theme for this year’s Met Gala is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” and is part two to last year’s event. According to Vogue, this year’s theme is “homage to our country’s history.” Last year’s event, which was held in September due to the ongoing pandemic, was titled “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”.
Lively, Reynolds, and King are familiar with the glitz and glamour of the event and have attended in the past. Miranda was scheduled to co-host the event back in 2020, but unfortunately, it was postponed due to the pandemic. This will mark the first year the Hamilton creator will attend the event.
The Met Gala will take place on May 2nd with the theme and exhibition being open to the public come May 7th. Both parts of the “In America” theme will close on September 5th, 2020.
