NBC has officially announced that both Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus are set to be the new Coaches for Season 11 of The Voice!
Both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will return while Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera will not. Throughout the history of The Voice, there has always been three males and one female Coach until now. This isn’t the first time Cyrus or Keys have worked on the show. Miley is set to appear this season during the competition’s knockout rounds. on Monday, March 28th and Alicia made an appearance back in the seventh season assisting Pharrell Williams as a guest coach.
“The musical expertise and energy these two incredibly talented women will bring to the show is remarkable,” praised Paul Telegdy, president of NBC Entertainment’s Alternative and Late Night Programming. “We’re thrilled that they’ll be joining Adam and Blake in what we know will be a magical 11th season.”
Recently Miley has been making headlines for her “different” social media and stage presence but with all that and the animal activism set aside, she is still an extremely talented international pop star. People may think Miley is provocative and over the top, but since she is so unique and thinks outside the box, she’s definitely going to bring out a side of her artists that they never knew they had. As for Keys, her music speaks for itself and will find the passion and soul inside her artists.
