Oh no! Nelly found himself in sticky situation at the 2021 CMT Artists of the Year event, which was held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Wednesday (October 13) in Nashville, Tenn.
The “Lil Bit” musician took center stage to introduce good friend and artist of the year, Kane Brown before his performance, and let’s just say that the into took a little longer than expected as the 46-year-old rapper struggled to read his script on the teleprompter.
Nelly’s speech started out smooth, but as it went on, he had to put a stop to the issue. After a few lines, he revealed that he couldn’t see that far and that the people in the back were moving the teleprompter way too fast. Once the technical difficulties were sorted out, Nelly finished his introduction by praising the “Cool Again” singer.
“As a fan and as a friend, I’m truly proud of all the success,” Nelly said. “And as a collaborator, I can’t wait to be back in the studio working together again.”
Twitter users were quick to share their thoughts and memes on the situation.

Just like everyone else who was cool in the 90's, Nelly needs reading glasses. #CMTAOTY
