Beloved Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes is showcasing many talents in an upcoming drama titled Rare Objects. Holmes is the film’s director, along with being a writer and acting in it.

Rare Objects follows the life of Benita (played by Julia Mayorga), as she tries to turn her life around and lands a job at an antique store.
Benita is interviewed and hired by the store owner (played by Alan Cumming). Benita stumbles upon new friends along her new journey, including Holmes’ character and a new romantic interest named Winshaw (played by Derek Luke).
While things begin to turn positive in her life, some demons and people from her past reappear, and Benita feels hopeless once again, but with the help of her friends should be able to regain control of the positives and keep going.
This will be Holmes’ fifth time as a director and third time as a writer, while her acting experience is much more profound. Holmes has taken to social media within the past week to promote the upcoming film.
Rare Objects is based on a novel by Kathleen Tessaro, and Holmes has now decided to bring its story to the big screen.
