The Simmons Make “All About The Washingtons” a Family Affair at World Premiere in Hollywood

Netflix has been cranking out comedy after comedy each Friday this summer, making our “Shows To Binge” list grow even bigger.

Just yesterday, the streaming service premiered the first season of All About The Washingtons, which is an autobiographical family sitcom that follows Joey Washington (Joey Simmons/Rev Run) and his wife Justine Washington (Justine Simmons) playing fictionalized versions of themselves raising a family of 4 kids.

The show is loaded with comedy (rivaling the likes Fresh Prince of Bel Air)while bringing the cast and family values that were instilled in Simmons’ early 2000s reality series Run’s House.

Nostalgia alert: even have the iconic scene of Rev Run typing his words of wisdom in the bath tub in the teaser!

On Wednesday, August 8th, the cast and crew of the show gathered at Madera Kitchen in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the season one launch. Rev Run (“Joey Washington”), Justine Simmons (“Justine Washington”), Nathan Anderson (“Wesley Washington”), Kiana Ledé (“Veronica Washington”), Leah Rose Randall (“Skyler Washington”) and Maceo Smedley (“Daevon Washington”) were in attendance, and were joined by Creator and Executive Producer Jeremy Bronson, Executive Producer Andrew Reich and special guests Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Diggy Simmons, Miley Simmons, Russell Simmons II, and Marcus Scribner (black-ish).
