New Music Friday (Country Edition): Brett Eldredge, Runaway June, Hunter Hayes Release Brand New Music

This New Music Friday, there are a lot of songs to be thankful for.

Brett Eldredge kicked off his annual Christmas tour tonight in Boston, and in celebration, he relaunched his single, “Sweet December” with Kelly Clarkson off of his recent album, Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family), in a couple new ways! An acapella, an instrumental, and piano version. Glow: Welcome To The Family Tour brings along special guest Stacey Ryan and will go through Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, New York, St. Louis before wrapping up in Nashville on December 20. Get your tickets here.

All-girl trio Runaway June, composed of Jennifer Wayne, Natalie Stovall and Stevie Woodward, released a brand new sassy break up track, “He Ain’t My Problem.” A staple in their live shows over the last few months, the girls penned the cheeky offering together full of powerful guitar, singing, “Yeah, I ain’t got no money, ain’t got no money. He left me crying there on the floor, and then I hit rock bottom. Still got some problems but he ain’t my problem no more.’”

“The three of us were sitting in a hotel room one night, and we were having a venting session, as ladies do. Jenn says, ‘He ain’t my problem no more,’ and we’re like, ‘Oh, snap! We gotta write that one!’ So we ordered some Parmesan fries and some wine and we wrote this tune. It’s a little too much of a true story.”

The continued, “‘He Ain’t My Problem’ was not only so much fun to writer, it’s also one of the most fun songs that we get to play in our set. It feels like everybody in the audience gets it and they’re in it with us, every single time we play the song. So, when we went into the studio to record it, it was really important to us to keep that feeling of playing live and having fun.”

Other artists that are included in our New Music Friday playlist this week, include Hunter Hayes, Braxton Keith, Caiden Wallace, Austin Michael, Morgan Johnston, Sam Grow, Brent Morgan, Nate Good, and The Dryes.
