It’s another big release day in the world of country music.
Watch out 2025 — Kane Brown is coming for you. At the top of our New Music Friday playlist today (October 11), is Brown’s latest offering “Backseat Driver,” in which he debuted last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“Backseat Driver” kicks off a new era for the songsmith as he’s set to release a brand new body of work, The High Road, in January, and then embark on a 23-date tour beginning in March. Scotty McCreery, Mitchell Tenpenny, Ashley Cooke and Dasha will be supporting the singer.

Additionally, Jelly Roll has dropped his latest album, Beautifully Broken. The 22-song assemblage is full of mental challenges, regrets and redemption. The record’s lead single “I Am Not Okay” served as a precursor for the project and now hosts many other heartbreakingly authentic stories and stunning collaborations, including “Time of Day” with mgk, “When The Drugs Don’t Work with Ilsey and “Higher Than Heaven” with Wiz Khalifa.
Another notable albums we highly recommend that you check out include Justin Moore’s This Is My Dirt which houses a fire duet with Dierks Bentley called “Time’s Ticking,” Carter Faith’s The Aftermath, Ben Burgess’s Hollywood Cowboy, Meghan Patrick’s Golden Child and Erin Kinsey’s Gettin’ Away With It.
But that’s not all…
So many more of our country music favorites released new songs this week, including Cody Johnson, Brian Kelley, Chris Lane, Walker Hayes, Dylan Gossett, Wyatt Flores, Sam Barber, Madeline Merlo, Flatland Cavalry, Dwight Yoakam, Adam Doleac, Abbey Cone, Zach Williams, Hueston and Dani Rose; plus a brand new rendition of “Gonna Be You” from Dolly Parton featuring artists Maddie & Tae, Jessie James Decker and Callie Twisselman.
