You love our New Music Friday roundups, so we thought we’d give it a little spin with a New Music Friday: K-Edition!
We’ll be sharing with you our favorite Korean music releases of the week ranging from K-Pop, K-R&B, K-Rap, and lots more. Rest assured, all of these will be bops because we don’t do skips around here.
EXO‘s Baekhyun released his 3rd mini-album, Bambi, this week and we absolutely adore it, so much so, that we had a little trouble ranking our favorite tracks from it, which you can see here. Not only did Baekyun bless us this week with new music and a new music video, but so did BTS.
BTS announced their new Japanese track “Film Out,” as well as a new Japanese album, just last week, and we were finally able to lose ourselves in their beautiful voices. “Film Out” was co-composed by group member, Jungkook, and it talks about contemplating all the memories you hold with someone.
Along with the new song, the septet also dropped a stunning music video where the group is in house, dressed in white, and seen thinking about their memories together as the eldest member, Jin, notices an hourglass that’s counting down the time they have left together. Making the viewer dread the ending of the video, which leads to a bright red explosion.
Now besides Baekhyun’s sensual album and BTS’ gut-wrenching releases, this week also found a ton of releases from some of our favorite groups and soloists; pH-1, YUJIHI and BEIGE; with new comebacks from WJSN and DKB, as well as a debut from new boy group NTX, a solo debut from SEVENTEEN‘s Hoshi and a Japanese debut from TREASURE.
