Another week down means more music to add to our playlists, and this week’s is PACKED with incredible new singles, albums, and collaborations.
Kendrick Lamar delivered a brand new SURPRISE album overnight, GNX, and is his sixth studio album to date. It trails Mr. Morale and the High Steppers, and was produced by Sounwave and Jack Antonoff. SZA also makes a guest appearance on this new project. The album drops just shortly ahead of his 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9th, as well as a few Grammy nominations.
One of our absolute favorite parts of New Music Friday is all of the FIRE collaborations. Many of our new favorites include “Arctic Tundra” by Nicki Minaj and Juice WRLD, “Outta Da Blue” by Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre feat. Alus, “Body Talk” by Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown, “For Sale” by Tiny Habits and Lizzy McAlphine, “Baby It’s Both (Tick-Tack English Ver.) by ILLIT and Ava Max, “Almost Gone” by Gavin Adcock and Vincent Mason and “Alone With You” by Josiah Queen and Jarvis Campbell.
Other new music came from some of our fav artists, including Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, Tyla, Jelly Roll, Miguel, Michael Kiwanuka, Saya Gray, French Montana, Ruel, BANKS, Maluma, James Arthur, Ella Henderson, Wizkid, ericdoa, Jonah Kagen, New Hope Club, and more.
