Billy Porter Guest Stars In New Episode of Nickelodeon’s ‘Middlemost Post’

Billy Porter is an award-winning actor, strong vocalist, style icon and now he can addd voice-over character in his repertoire.The Kinky Boots Broadway actor will guest star in Nickelodeon’s original animated series Middlemost Post on Friday, July 16.

 

Porter will be the voice behind the “Recycle King,” a character who uses the gift of song to teach others that everything has its place in a world of waste. In the upcoming episode, Angus – an organized mailman, accidentally throws away Parker’s friend, Burt, who is made from old boxes and recyclable goods.

 

In the episode entitled “BURT! The Musical,” Parker and Angus step away from their everyday duties at the Middlemost Post Office to visit Greenwood’s Recycle King (Porter) in hopes that he would help find their lost friend.

 

The dynamic duo is suddenly faced with a challenge, as the musically inclined king of Greenwood refuses to give up Burt. Therefore, the two have to put their heads together to develop a well-throughout strategy to steal him back.

 

Nickelodeon’s Middlemost Post follows a high-spirited rain cloud (Parker J. Cloud) who lives and works in the Middlemost Post Office with Angus – an organized mail carrier who values efficiency. While working in the mailroom, the two formed an unstoppable friendship with one another and with Parker’s pet walrus Russell, a magical marine animal whose stomach doubles as a post office storage room.

 

Middlemost Post, created and produced by John Trabbic III, marks Nickelodeon’s first animated series in five years. Porter worked alongside Becky Robinson (Parker J. Cloud) and John Dimaggio (Angus Roy Shackelton) in the kid-friendly production.
