Nicky Jam will be recognized for his many years of hard work and success by being honored with the “Billboard Hall of Fame Award” at the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The announcement comes days after the news of Christina Aguilera being announced as the recipient of the “Billboard Spirit of Hope Award” for this year’s show. Nicky will also be taking the stage for a performance.
Nicky Jam has had great success with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, winning 13 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The “X” singer has also had much success on the Billboard charts, including his song “El Perdon” with Enrique Iglesias, which spent 30 weeks on top of the Hot Latin Songs Chart, as well as his album, “Fenix,” which rose to the very top of the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart.
The Billboard Hall of Fame Award is given each year to an artist whose work has no bounds meaning it has touched millions and millions of people worldwide. Past winners of the prestigious award include legends like Marc Anthony and Daddy Yankee, to name a few.
The Massachusetts native has been able to spread his music even to those who don’t speak Spanish as their primary language; he has collaborated with American stars like Will Smith and Post Malone. Nicky is part of a song with Will called “Live It Up” and acted alongside Smith in Bad Boys for Life. He collaborated with Post Malone on the Spanish remix of the rapper’s hit song, “rockstar.”
Nicky’s ability to collaborate with artists of other languages shows the true impact and reach his music has made on the world and why he is so deserving of such a fantastic honor.
