We’re halfway through the first month of the new year, and SO MANY of our favorite artists are setting the bar high by dropping incredible new songs for today’s New Music Friday (January 17).
For starters, Mac Miller‘s estate unveiled his second posthumous album, Balloonerism, which offers fans a dreamy, experimental journey through neo-soul and jazz landscapes. Featuring 14 previously-unreleased tracks worked on before and after his 2014 mixtape Faces, it includes a collaboration with SZA. It is accompanied by Balloonerism: A Film Based On The Album By Mac Miller, a 24-minute animated short film directed by Samuel Jerome Mason that brings each track to life.
Other noteworthy releases come from Marshmello and Jonas Brothers, Central Cee and 21 Savage, Mumford & Sons, Kane Brown, John Summit, James Arthur, Cher Lloyd, NLE Choppa and Imagine Dragons and more as they released hot earworms, collaborations and projects that we truly can’t get enough of.
Music’s newcomers certainly didn’t disappoint when it comes to sharing their latest material today, as artists like Freya Skye, GALE, Bradley Simpson, Thomas Day, Connor Price, Frankie Grande, Victoria Canal, Zoe Wees, Zeds Dead and more dropped some songs (and music videos) that you need to check out.
It was a suuuuper hard decision, but keep scrolling to see our picks and let us know what you think of them by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sliding into our DMs on Instagram at @celebsecrets.
