Happy New Music Friday, fam!
There may only be two more Fridays 2020 is over, but the good music that’s coming from our favorite artists is nowhere in sight.
If you’re thinking that the only good thing to come out of one of the weirdest years yet was the surprise release of Taylor Swift‘s eighth studio album folklore, think again. This week, queen Taylor made an announcement on social media that she was dropping yet another full-length project, evermore, and we’d be doing a disservice if it didn’t top our New Music Friday playlist this week. Our favorite song at the moment? “Willow.” The tune is a mystical love story about Taylor finding the man of her dreams and the music video — which you can watch below — stars her friend and former Red Tour dancer Taeok Lee.
Even more earworms earned high placement on our playlist this afternoon — Jack Harlow and Big Sean‘s “Way Out;” Juice WRLD and The Kid LAROI‘s “Reminds Me Of You;” Gwen Stefani‘s “Let Me Reintroduce Myself;” Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys‘ “Matches;” G-Eazy and Rick Ross‘ “Lifestyles of the Rich & Heated;” Why Don’t We‘s “Lotus Inn”and Madison Beer‘s “Boys**t” — with other buzzworthy songs coming from emerging artists like Tate McRae, CHIKA, Spencer Sutherland, almondmilkhunni, Ellington and more.
With Christmas only two weeks away, artists like twenty one pilots dropped their original holiday single “Christmas Saves The Year” with Brett Young releasing his version of “Silver Bells.” Newcomers Nessa Barrett and Pilar Victoria also shared new songs, with her own version of the holiday classic “Santa Baby” and original single “Flustered Snowflakes,” respectively.
