Hannah Gold is a 22-year-old singer, songwriter and producer who recently shared her debut single “Run Away” with the world.
After posting some covers online and honing in on her sound, the recent USC graduate decided to pursue music full-time and her debut single “Run Away” is a strong indicator that she is here to stay. Combining Pop and R&B elements, the Long Island, New York native’s pure tone can be heard as she sings atop a modern production that will hook you after one listen.
“[‘Run Away’] is upbeat, positive, and happy. I wanted my first release to be cheerful and represent hope and love instead of heartbreak and pain,” Gold tells Celeb Secrets exclusively.
“I hope that ‘Run Away’ inspires listeners to let go and live their authentic lives. I want my listeners to follow their hearts and dreams instead of letting other people control their destiny. If being happy means running away then so be it.”
Celeb Secrets caught up with Hannah to learn more about her musical journey, the meaning behind “Run Away” and what’s next regarding her music in the coming months.

CS: Hi Hannah, Thanks for chatting with us! Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself for our readers who are just getting to know you?
HG: “Hi! Of course:) I’m Hannah Gold, a 22-year-old R&B-Pop fusion artist from Long Island, New York. This year, I created my own record label, Candy Landy Records, to release my music through. I write, produce, and perform my original music. I also play drums, piano, and guitar. I have three siblings, Josh, Jessie, and Emma. I have a 5-year-old pekingese puppy named Cory who is my best friend! I just graduated from the University of Southern California in May and am now pursuing music full time! Stay tuned…”
CS: What inspired you to release “Run Away” as your debut single?
HG: “When I first started writing music, I found myself defaulting to sad topics such as a breakup or heartache. ‘Run Away’ was the first song I wrote that wasn’t negative; it is upbeat, positive, and happy. I wanted my first release to be cheerful and represent hope and love instead of heartbreak and pain. I wrote ‘Run Away’ in about thirty minutes during a zoom class; it just came to me. I love how Run Away is an anthem that you can sing along to on repeat. I love how catchy it is!”
CS: What do you hope listeners will take away from the message of the song?
HG: I hope that ‘Run Away’ inspires listeners to let go and live their authentic lives. I want my listeners to follow their hearts and dreams instead of letting other people control their destiny. If being happy means running away then so be it.
CS: If you could collaborate with any other artist right now, who would it be and why?
HG: “If I could collaborate with any artist it would definitely be either Kehlani or Justin Bieber because they have been two of my biggest influences and inspirations throughout my journey. I think that my sound would mesh really well with either artist because all 3 of us have a nice blend of pop and R&B elements. I also think it would be cool to be featured on a Pop Smoke or Drake rap track.”
CS: What else can listeners expect from you this year?
HG: “Listeners have a lot to look forward to! Following ‘Run Away,’ I plan to release a few more singles with music videos and then drop a 7-8 song EP in the beginning of 2022. Stay tuned for all sorts of vibes — I have pop tracks, R&B tracks, rap tracks, groovy tracks & more! You never know what you’re gonna get- I do it all :)”
CS: Since we are Celeb Secrets, can you share a secret talent of yours?
HG: “This a great question. Baking happens to be one of my secret talents! I love baking treats for my friends & family, especially as a birthday surprise! My specialities are chocolate chip scones, sour cream coffee cake, and slutty brownies.”
