Only a few months after adding the “Spaceman” title under his belt, Nick Jonas can now also add host!
The Jonas Brother just announced that he is this year’s host for the Billboard Music Awards! The role was previously held by The Voice co-star Kelly Clarkson for the past three years, and now the microphone has officially been passed over to Jonas.

Jonas made the exciting announcement by uploading a video on his social media platforms of him holding the coveted BBMA award with a sticky note labeled “Best Host Ever” taped on it as a cellphone mimicking the iconic video of Vice President Kamala Harris contacting President Joe Biden, who coincidentally has the same name as Jonas’ sibling, Joe Jonas, who we can only assume Nick is making the call to. Nick proceeds with the “phone call,” expressing to Joe his disbelief as he accepts the “preemptive award.”
Last year, Nick won three Billboard Music Awards alongside his band, The Jonas Brothers, with brothers Joe and Kevin for Top Artist, Top Duo/Group, and Top Radio Track for their hit song, “Sucker.”
The Billboard Music Awards announced its nominees on Thursday (April 29th), and leading the pack is The Weeknd, with 16 nominees this year, followed by DaBaby with 11, and the late Pop Smoke with 10.
We are so excited to see this years’ spectacular performances and what iconic moments will have fans buzzing all year long on awards show night. Performers have yet to be announced for the show, but we are already so hyped to see Nick take the stage and host this year!
