Every ‘90s kid is feeling a sense of nostalgia right about now, as the Blue’s Clues smash hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” is receiving a makeover by electronic/ Eurodance group Eiffel 65. The group and Nickelodeon recently dropped a music video for the hit, which features the new beat on Monday, September 27.
Eiffel 65 retitled and re-recorded the 1998 legendary anthem to “I’m Blue.’ The music video captures Blue’s Clues & You! star Josh Dela Cruz and former host Donovan Patton and Steve Burns.
Fans of the iconic television show also received a surprise from their favorite kitten, Periwinkle, in the 30-second clip. However, the animated character is expected to make a grand appearance in the upcoming season that will air on Friday, October 1.
“In the season three premiere of Blue’s Clues & You! “Our New Neighbor,” Periwinkle moves In next door and becomes Josh and Blue’s new neighbor,” says Nickelodeon in a recent press release about the plot. “Josh and Blue play “Blue’s Clues” to figure out how they can help Periwinkle feel welcome and learn more about their new kitten neighbor along the way, helping him unpack and even skidooing to his old neighborhood to retrieve his missing stuffie.”
The new season will consist of 20 episodes and will follow Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue. The dynamic duo will meet new friends, spend quality time with Josh’s grandmother (Carolyn Fe) and cousins – Steve (Steve Burns) and Joe (Donovan Patton.)
In true Blue’s Clues fashion, Josh and his best bud will be going on fun-filled adventures throughout the educational season. The children’s show has become a cultural phenomenon throughout the years, as it generated an enormous global fanbase in over 160 countries and more than 20 languages.
It is the way Nickelodeon keeps the young tv-goers engaged and how they go about shaping the minds of the future, that keeps the program from scoring high ratings. Most importantly, it is the reason why they remain one of the best and leading children’s show to date.
