Lex (Jules LeBlanc) and Presely (Jayden Bartels) from live-action comedy Side Hustle are making their way back to our TV Screens come Saturday, October 2. Nickelodeon recently announced that the fan-favorite series had been renewed for a second season.
The 20-episode packed series follows best friends Lex and Presley as they take on a job after accidentally abolishing a boat belonging to the dad of their friend, Munchy (Isaiah Crews) with fireworks. The season two premiere titled “Model Employees” is about the girls landing a modeling gig for their town’s big fashion week.
While this episode might sound glamorous, the plot takes a sudden turn when the girls find out that they were hired to be “toy model builders” and not runway models like they thought. In true Nickelodeon fashion, the girls make a strategic game plan to get themselves on the fashion show lineup.
You may be thinking to yourself, ‘how did these ladies land this odd job in the first place? Well, it all started with a job searching application called KidDing! “An app created by Presley’s tech-savvy younger brother Fisher (Mitchell Berg), the friends are able to connect with people looking for help with odd and unusual jobs, while munchy’s bossy older brother Jaget (Jacques Chevelle) makes sure they keep up with the payments,” says a Nickelodeon press release about the suspenseful theme of the season premiere.
Side Hustle, created by Dave Malkoff, who serves as executive producer and showrunner alongside John Beck and Ron Hart – continues to be ranked as the number two live-action program on cable for kids 6-11.
Nickelodeon fans can tune in Saturday, September 11, for new episodes at 8 p.m. ET/ PT/ To. However, to find out if the dynamic trio struts the catwalk or not, fans can catch the season two premiere on October, 2 on Nick.
