Nicki Minaj is teasing her fans with a big announcement that she has planned to go public with via Instagram Live on Thursday afternoon (July 8).
The Queen of the Barbz took to Twitter on Tuesday (July 6), tweeting, “There’s something I URGENTLY need to share w/you guys.”
Her announcement was accompanied by a one-second video loop of the rapper wearing straight pink hair, matching nails, and a layer of necklaces.

“I’ll go LIVE on IG THURSDAY @ 10:30 p.m. EST,” she continued. “No, I won’t be late. In fact, I’ll be early. This is VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Love you guys so much.”
Minaj teased a potential surprise last month on her Instagram Live when she said she had something big in the works. “When I make that announcement, that’s when I’ma go live again and pop a different level of stuff,” said Minaj.
The new mom hasn’t released an album Queen dropped in 2018. Her last solo song, “Yikes,” was released in 2020, but she has been featuring herself in many other artists’ songs.
Though the exciting tweet itself doesn’t give us much, fans have begun speculating what the announcement could be referring to, including a highly-anticipated fifth album or her upcoming HBO Max docuseries.
