After much anticipation, Nonie showed their Spring/Summer 2019 collection to a celeb-packed front row – including Miss USA Sarah Summers and actress Amanda Fuller – on September 9th at New York Fashion Week.
The label is known for creating Ready to Wear modern womenswear ethically made in Canada and most recently, sported by royalty! Yep – Meghan Markle has been seen sporting Nonie.
Nonie’s designer, Nina Kharey, creates collections made with a tailored and refined aesthetic with a touch of Eastern inspiration. She is on a mission to create clothes that embody effortless chicness, but with the ability to last a lifetime aka timeless in every sense of the word.
“This line was created from my heart and passion. It’s made up of clothing designed for women who don’t want the hassle of figuring out how to wear certain trends or statement pieces, but want to look well put together instantly. It’s for women who appreciate longevity with their clothes,” said designer Nina Kharey just before her New York Fashion Week runway debut.
The collection consisted of an abundance of silk and draping in black, ivory, red and yellow – all inspired by Kharey’s Indian heritage. Tops, jackets, and even the trench silhouette worn by Meghan Markle made an appearance in the show.
