Our Night at Sabrina Carpenter’s De-Tour LA Stop – Exclusive Blog

Here at Celeb Secrets, we are some of Sabrina Carpenter‘s biggest fans. We’ve been following her journey from the beginning and are so proud of the beautiful young lady she has turned out to be! When we were invited to see The De-Tour LIVE and in-person at The Wiltern in Los Angeles last week, we couldn’t turn down the offer.

The day started off with Kennia and I getting an exclusive look inside New Hope Club’s sound check. Our fave British boys sounded amazing and we couldn’t wait to hear their full set later! After the soundcheck, we were invited onto their tour bus for a pizza party with other teen press and it was so much fun. We talked all about their fave memories from the tour, what it’s like being on the road, and their favorite city they’ve performed in so far.

Following the tour bus party, we went into the venue as the show was about to start. The night started off with New Hope Club singing songs off their debut EP Welcome to the Club, including Water, Fixed, and Medicine. Band members Blake Richardson, Reece Bibby, and George Smith have not only matured, but also grown into incredibly talented artists since their first showcase in the U.S in March.

Following NHC was 20-year-old hottie Alex Aiono. Aiono kicked things off with his powerful song “Question,” which is about moving on from a toxic relationship. He also sang his new single “Hot 2 Touch” and he was literally too hot to touch. He even sprinkled in his famous mash-up cover of “One Dance/ Hasta El Amanecer” where fans went crazy (including myselfl). Unfortunately, Aiono’s set did have to come to an end, however, he closed it out in the best way possible. Alex performed YouTube sensation Aspyn Ovard’s wedding song, hitting us all in the feels and making our hearts melt.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for finally arrived. QUEEN Sabrina Carpenter was about to take the stage!!

The 18-year-old Disney starlet opened up her set with Love Feels like Loneliness, which can be heard on her sophomore album Evolution. In addition, Carpenter also sang All We Have is Love, Thumbs, On Purpose, one of our personal faves Run and Hide, and her new hit single Why. She absolutely SLAYED and all of her costumes were so on fleek.

Our favorite moment of her performance, however, had to be when she played two of our favorite throwbacks — “Eyes Wide Open” and “Can’t Blame A Girl For Trying.” During “Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying,” Sabrina surprised us with a special appearance from her former Girl Meets World co-star, Ben Savage. The crowd went crazy! Savage sang along and there was so much nostalgia in the room!

Sabrina Carpenter‘s De-Tour is something that you cannot miss this summer. Her stage presence is indescribable and her supporting acts are equally as talented as she is — it’s a treat for all music lovers from 2 to 82. Seeing a show where you can walk out of the venue and say “I need to see this again” is a rare thing these days, however, Carpenter’s ensemble is something I really need to see over and over again. It’s that good.
