Another day, another Knives Out 2 casting announcement!
On Tuesday (June 8) it was revealed that Madelyn Cline will be joining the cast of the murder mystery film.
Cline is best known for her role as “Sarah Cameron” in the teen drama Netflix series, Outer Banks.
According to Deadline, Rian Johnson, director of the first Knives Out, will return to direct and produce the sequel. Daniel Craig will also reprise his role as detective “Benoit Blanc.” Other recently announced cast members include Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, and Edward Norton.
Netflix acquired the rights to the next two installments of the franchise for $450 million back in March.
Following the news, Chase Stokes, her Outer Banks co-star, and real-life partner posted a congratulatory story for the actress. He said, “I. am. sosososososo PROUD OF YOU. WHAT!!!!! Love u.”
Speaking of Outer Banks, the official teaser for the second season dropped today (June 9)! It will release on Netflix on July 30. Check it out here.
There is no information on what the Knives Out 2 plot will be or who Cline will play. Production will begin this summer in Greece.
