One of the most controversial figures in the NBA is heading to Chicago as Patrick Beverley has agreed to play for the Chicago Bulls for the rest of the season. The feisty point guard will join his hometown squad alongside DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, amongst others.

Beverley is arguably the ultimate love him or hate him type of player as he is a headache for opposing teams due to his excellent defense along with crazy antics; while, he can be loveable due to his effort while on your team but can also be annoying due to his consistent antics, as previously stated.
The twelve-year guard is joining Chicago just days after being bought out by the Magic; Beverly was traded to Orlando on the NBA trade deadline day by the Lakers. Prior to arriving in Los Angeles in the offseason, Beverley had a very successful season with the Minnesota Timberwolves a season ago.
The Bulls have been looking to strengthen their point guard rotation after Lonzo Ball has been unable to suit up this season due to injury, and the team not giving many minutes to all-star Goran Dragic. The Bulls have relied on NBA champion guard Alex Caruso and young guard Ayo Dosunmu.
With the addition of Beverley, Chicago is strengthening their defense while not adding much to their offensive game, as Beverley is primarily a defender while making the occasional three on offense.

Overall, it will be interesting to see how Chicago will scheme up a role for Beverley as they look to win more consistently in their pursuit of a playoff berth.
