Pop recording artist Katrina Kusa is no newcomer to the music industry.
Her last single “Ta$te It” featuring Indian Trap, amassed over half a million streams on Spotify, and has since then been featured on 100.9 The Heat, where it is a top requested song.
Now, the budding artist is following up her record with a new song called “Two Times” and we got to chat with Katrina all about it. Listen to “Two Times” and read the full Q&A below — don’t forget to let us know what you think of it by either leaving a reaction at the bottom of the post or by sending us a tweet at @celebsecrets.

Celeb Secrets: Thanks for chatting with us! Can you tell us about your single “Two Times?” What do you hope listeners feel when they listen to it?
Katrina Kusa: “My new single, Two Times, is about not fitting in with society. I hope that my listeners can feel empowered by the lyrics and take away the message of not changing who you are and being your true self.”
CS: We love the sound of “Two Times” and how it shows off a different side of you than “Taste It!” What was it like recording this song? Was it different from recording “Taste It?”
KK: “I had such a dope experience recording Two Times with producer, Nick Mair. I recorded this EDM record not only remotely, but also live at a studio in Los Angeles, CA. It’s always fun getting to experiment with new sounds and creating something from scratch!”
CS: You also shared a cinematic lyric video recently. Can you tell us about the lyric video and what inspired it?
KK: “I wanted to bring out the message of the song and really highlight the lyrics. I created an example of a society where people believe they would be liked more if they acted cool. I wanted to show the benefit of the doubt that acting cool does not always get you what you truly want within yourself, and that at the end of the day, you should be true to who you are. That is what is cool in my eyes.”
CS: “Taste It” and “Two Times” have both been played on the radio. Congratulations! What was your reaction when you found out that your music was going to be played on the radio?
KK: “I was so excited when I found out my music was going to be played on the radio! It was such a surreal experience and an honor to be getting radio play!”
CS: In 2021, what can we expect from your music? Will there be more singles? an EP? an album? And what will that music sound like?
KK: “You can expect more pop and urban style records from me in the upcoming year, 2021. I am looking forward to releasing more singles, and hopefully an EP or album. You’ll just have to wait and see!”
CS: Since the holidays are right around the corner, can you share your favorite holiday tradition?
KK: “Before Covid-19, one of my favorite holiday traditions was spending time with my family in our winter home in Vermont. There I would do performances during a Christmas Eve mass in an old barn. I love getting able to spend time with my family, and this year, am just grateful that I will be able to be home, safe, with my loved ones.”
