Ryan and Rory Talk Turning Up the Heat with New Song “Truck Stop,” Tease Big Plans for 2025 (Exclusive)

Ryan and Rory are back and hotter than ever with their high-energy new anthem, “Truck Stop.” Promising to make major waves on Music Row thanks to their standout talents, this dynamic duo is proving that sometimes, the best moments in your truck happen when you’re parked. Swapping speed limits for tailgate-foolin’-around, “Truck Stop” is the ultimate soundtrack for country fans who like their music playful, powerful, and a little bit provocative.

But this track didn’t come easy. When Ryan and Rory sat down to write, they hit a creative roadblock — until inspiration struck. “We were actually writing a really bad song that day,” Ryan admits to Celeb Secrets during CRS 2025 back in February. “We were like, ‘How do we get out of this?’ So we completely switched gears — no pun intended — and started writing this swung, upbeat thing. It turned into this really funny play on words.”

Rory adds that once they got into the studio, the track took on a whole new life. “We were like, ‘Let’s just ZZ Top this thing up,’ and you can totally hear that in the production,” he shares. “I was in there playing piano and B3, and the whole session just had this incredible energy.”

And that same energy translates directly into the music video, that’s officially out on YouTube today (March 7). The visual is turning up the temperature, starring models Mariah Strongin and Bryanna “B” Ferringer as literal partners in crime alongside “officers” Ryan and Rory.

“This is my acting debut, I think,” Rory laughs. “Ryan’s been in stuff before, but this is a first for me. And let’s just say there’s some law enforcement involved.”

This buzzy release is just the beginning for Ryan and Rory in 2025. The duo is riding high after a massive 2024, which saw them make their Grand Ole Opry debut — a moment Ryan describes as a “very, very life-changing experience.”

“I’ve played big venues before,” he explains, “but the Opry? That was the first time I had an out-of-body experience on stage. It was surreal.” Rory echoes the sentiment, emphasizing how special it was to have their closest family and friends in the audience. “They flew in from all over the country. It was one of those moments we’ll never forget.”

On top of that, they toured with Sam Hunt and Jamey Johnson, who had nothing but praise for them: “If I were a gambler, I’d bet on these two.” Now, they’re ready to take their show on the road again, joining ACM Award winner Brett Young this spring for a string of must-see shows.

“We are so pumped for this tour,” Rory tells us. “We’re hitting the Southeast, we’re hitting the West Coast — it’s our first time playing a lot of these places, and we’re bringing a party.”

Ryan agrees, adding that their live show is something truly special. “If you like the record, just wait ‘til you see it live,” he teases. “Our songs are already high-energy, but we take it up a notch on stage. Rory’s a musical genius, and I just talk a lot. The real question is how long before they mute my mic?”

Rory elaborates on their stage presence, saying their performances are anything but ordinary. “Our live show is an extended party. The arrangements are different, we throw in some surprises, and we feed off the crowd’s energy. It’s a whole experience.”

Beyond the tour, fans can expect a steady stream of new music, with fresh releases dropping every six to eight weeks. Their New Year’s resolution? Consistency.

“We’re gonna be giving people a lot of Ryan and Rory this year,” Ryan promises. “We’re still writing, we’ve got a ton of songs ready, and we’re not slowing down.”

A major part of their songwriting process happens in one of the most unique settings in country music — Ryan’s family home, where he writes alongside his renowned songwriter parents Keith and Adrienne Follesé. “Writing with my folks is like stepping onto a hot coal,” he jokes. “They’ll tell you straight up if something sucks. It’s the most brutally honest room you’ll ever be in.” Rory laughs, adding, “It’s like a reality TV show, but it makes for the best songs.”

Between their cheeky, radio-ready bangers, their electric live performances, and their razor-sharp songwriting, Ryan and Rory are proving they’re a country duo to watch. 2025 is shaping up to be their biggest year yet — so roll down the windows, turn up “Truck Stop,” and get ready for the ride.
