On Wednesday (February 10), Sabrina Carpenter performed her latest single, “Skin,” live for the first time ever on The Late Late Show With James Corden and it was a performance like no other.
The singer began performing the song playing on a white baby grand piano in an empty warehouse. As the song progressed, she got up and sang with her powerful voice as rain poured down upon her, not missing a single note.
Similar to the music video, Carpenter showed that she remains unbothered despite the chaos that was building around her. The performance held the same message that her song represents: you can’t hurt her if she doesn’t let you.
“Skin” has hit incredible milestones since its release back in January. The track gained over ten million streams within the first 48 hours of its drop. The single also made trends on social media due to Carpenter’s involvement in the love triangle between her, Olivia Rodrigo, and Joshua Bassett. It was a #1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide and hit #1 on both of Genius’ Artist and Song charts.
