Second Place in the NFC East Up For Grabs In Giants vs. Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Game

The second game of the Thanksgiving NFL schedule is between two divisional foes that have set the league on fire as the 7-3 New York Giants head to The Lone Star State to take on the 7-3 Dallas Cowboys.

This is expected to be a fun battle as divisional games are always entertaining, but this one, in particular, feels more special than in other years, as both of these squads are legit title contenders.

With first-year head coach Brian Daboll doing the unexpected so far and leading the Giants to a hot start to the year, with that said, the Giants are coming off a crushing 31-18 loss to the Lions.

As for the Cowboys, Super Bowl champion head coach Mike McCarthy is looking to turn things around for the Cowboys after a disappointing end to his first season with the team a season ago.

The Giants will look to emphasize the run game in this one led by superstar runner Saquon Barkley after coming off of his worse showing of the season. If New York can get the run game going and throw in some play-action passes for Daniel Jones to flourish in throwing on the run, which he is terrific in, they will have a great chance of battling in this one against the Cowboys.

As for Dallas, the same goes as they are coming off a game in which their two-headed monster at the running back position, Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott, combined to score four touchdowns in their 40-3 slaughter of the Vikings.

Both teams will be missing significant pieces as the Giants will be without cornerback Adoree’ Jackson and two starting offensive linemen in Jon Feliciano and Evan Neal, while the Cowboys will be without linebacker Anthony Barr.

As for some predictions, we believe the Cowboys will win a tight one with a final score of 17-15 in a low-scoring affair. We also believe that Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, and Ezekiel Elliott will each have a touchdown in the game.
