Shakira is back, and she’s bringing the heat!
The global superstar kicked off her highly anticipated Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in electrifying fashion at Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last Tuesday (February 11). With an ecstatic sold-out crowd and a high-energy performance, Shakira proved why she remains one of the most iconic performers of our time.
From the moment she stepped on stage, it was clear this tour was going to be something special. Shakira opened the show with her latest smash hit, “La Fuerte,” produced by Bizarrap, setting the tone for a night of musical magic.
Dressed in a custom Versace ensemble, she radiated confidence as she performed an epic setlist that spanned her legendary career — including fan favorites and fresh bangers from her Grammy-winning album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, like “Session 53,” “TQG,” “Monotonía,” and “Te Felicito.”

But let’s talk about those boots because they deserve their own moment. Shakira and her backup dancers rocked custom pink crystal Chinese Laundry boots, specially designed for the tour in collaboration with Shakira and her stylist, Nicolas Bru.
Shakira’s reimagined ‘Dodger Bootie’ silhouette and her dancers’ ‘Dario Boot’ silhouette were all about delivering a bold, statement-making look for the stage. And statement made! The dazzling footwear perfectly complemented the high-energy choreography and visually stunning stage production, which featured massive 160-foot screens, vibrant CGI interludes, and dance styles from all over the world.
Beyond the jaw-dropping footwear, Shakira stunned in multiple custom designer looks, including pieces from Zuhair Murad, Guarav Gupta, and Jawara Alleyne. She also accessorized with one-of-a-kind Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti® Bone cuffs, crafted for the first time in platinum with pavé diamonds, hand engraved with the tour’s name, adding an extra layer of elegance and exclusivity to her stage presence.

Aside from the iconic fashion moments and mesmerizing visuals, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is a tour with a message. Shakira’s return to the stage is more than just a concert — it’s a celebration of resilience, empowerment, and rebirth. Much like a diamond forged under pressure, the Colombian queen is shining brighter than ever, and she’s inviting fans from every generation to share in her journey of strength and transformation.
And if you missed out on the epic Rio de Janeiro show, don’t worry — Shakira’s just getting started! The Latin America leg of the tour continued with a February 13 stop in São Paulo before it is making its way to Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico, where she made history by becoming the first artist to book seven consecutive sold-out shows at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.

However, the tour recently hit a setback, as Shakira was hospitalized in Lima, Peru, on Sunday (February 16) due to severe abdominal pain, leading to the cancellation of her scheduled concert at Estadio Nacional. In a heartfelt message to fans, she expressed her regret for the cancellation and assured them that she is focusing on her recovery while working to reschedule the show. Fans worldwide have sent their support and well-wishes, eagerly awaiting her return to the stage.
Later this year, she’s bringing the magic to North America, with stops in Miami, Los Angeles, Toronto, and more, before wrapping up in San Francisco on June 30. You can view a full list of dates here.

Before launching her world tour, Shakira made a triumphant return to the GRAMMYs after 18 years, delivering an unforgettable performance of “Ojos Así” and “Sessions” at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards earlier this month, where she also took home the Best Latin Pop Album award for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
With a setlist packed with hits, show-stopping fashion, and an empowering message at its core, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is proving to be one of the must-see tours of the year. And if Rio was any indication, Shakira’s reign is far from over.
