Ski Jackson and BYOU Magazine are helping girls to be their most powerful selves in the latest fall issue of BYOU Magazine.
The new fall Girl Power issue inspires and educates girls how to be their most powerful self, as well as encourages girls to respect and support other girls. The magazine wants to put an end to mean girls and cattiness, gossip, and isolation. The issue wants to encourage girls to support one another and stick together.
“Since October is National Bullying Prevention Month, we selected the theme of Girl Power as our anti-bullying theme to help girls be their most powerful self and inspire them to support other girls rather than tearing them down,” Debra Gano, BYOU Magazine publisher says. “Skai does a great job of sharing some great girl power advice with BYOU Magazine readers.
In the feature, Skai talks about how her character Zuri is a strong-willed girl and how she believes her character represents girl power. “Zuri and I have some similarities—we are both sassy sometimes and know what we want. We also have some differences—our style is a bit different (though I love Zuri’s fashion skills)—but for the most part, Zuri and I are alike!” Skai says. “I feel that Zuri has a huge part in girl power because she knows what she wants and also wants to achieve something. A lot of girls look up to me/Zuri because of those reasons.”
