So You Think You Can Dance has returned for its third week of live shows tonight (July 16th) at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Top 18 – Tanisha Belnap, Carly Blaney, Jourdan Epstein, Brooklyn Fullmer, Emily James, Jacque Lewarne, Malene Ostergaard, Jessica Richens, Valerie Rockey, Bridget Whitman,Rudy Abreu, Casey Askew, Teddy Coffey, Emilio Dosal, Zack Everhart, Stanley Glover, Marcquet Hill, Serge Onik, and Ricky Ubeda – opened the show with a group routine to “How It’s Done” choreographed by Christopher “Pharside” Jennings.
After the group number, the Top 18 were paired together to perform various broadway, hip-hop, Viennese waltz, contemporary, jive, and jazz sequences in front of judges Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe, and special guest judge Misty Copeland.
After the performances, A Great Big World performed their hit single “Say Something” for America, the judges, and contestants.
At the end of the show, it was announced that Stanley Glover and Jourdan Epstein‘s time on So You Think You Can Dance had come to a close. On next week’s live show, two people will be eliminated from the competition. Misty Copeland returns as a guest judge and Lucy Hale will take the stage to perform her new single “Lie A Little Better.”
