So You Think You Can Dance has returned for its eighth week of live shows tonight (August 27th) at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Top 6 – Jessica Richens, Valerie Rockey, Jacque LeWarne, Casey Askew, Zack Everhart and Ricky Ubeda – opened the show with a group performance to N.A.S.A feat. Aynzil Jones’ “Hide (Tropkillaz Remix)” choreographed by the famous choreographer Nick DeMoura. After the group performance, the Top 6 were paired with each other and So You Think You Can Dance all-stars to perform various broadway, disco, foxtrot, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, and cha-cha sequences in front of judges Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe, and special guest judge Christina Applegate. The Top 6 also performed solos for America.
Guest dancers on the show included tWitch, Will Wingfield, Ade, Anya Garis, Makenzie Dustman, and Fik-Shun.
After the performances, British pop group Rixton performed their smash hit “Me And My Broken Heart” for America, the judges, and contestants.
At the end of the show, host Cat Deeley announced that Jacque LeWarne and Casey Askew’s run on the show has come to a close.
