Get ready for an epic night filled with stars and awards because the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED have dropped the list of nominees!
The award show announced the nominees today (May 11) on Twitter and their official website! Both award shows are fan-voted and celebrate the movies and tv shows we know and love from throughout the year. The two shows span 26 gender-neutral categories that highlight films, TV shows, actors, and more.
It’s no surprise that the top nominee for the MTV Movie & TV Awards was the smash hit film Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film crushed box offices around the globe and crushed in the award show categories with 7 nominations. Following close behind was none other than the phenomenon tv show Euphoria, with a total of 6 nominations! Marvel’s Moon Knight and Netflix’s Inventing Anna are some of the first-time nominees at this year’s award show.

Ru Paul’s Drag Race also leads in nominations for MTV’s Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED with 4 nominations! And everyone’s favorite real estate team from Selling Sunset also got a total of three nominations! New categories have also been added including “Best Music Documentary” and “Best Reality Romance”.
Both the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and the 2022 Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED will air live on one epic night from Los Angeles on Sunday, June 5 at 8 PM ET/PT! Fans can begin voting today on MTV’s website and can vote until May 18th at 6PM EST!
