Stephanie Quayle’s ‘Greatest Hope Is That These Songs Will Bring Healing to Others Too’ Within Her Newest Album, “On The Edge” (Exclusive)

Stephanie Quayle‘s newest album On The Edge may just be the most vulnerable project our generation is yet to see.

The eight-track album is said to “represent an epic tale of twists and turns, all sparked by a voice from the past,” capturing stories that encompass both trauma and grief from the country artist’s devastating past.

The project “explore[s] that fundamentally human experience when in your darkest moments you’re faced with a decision, when you’re forced to choose between descending into the darkness or seeking the light,” serving as “a redemptive tale, and a profoundly personal one.”

“It’s one in which Stephanie Quayle charts the stranger-than-fiction story in which she found herself — from the day the love of her young life shattered on an airport runway, and the harrowing aftermath of that tragedy — to the place of grace where she finds herself today” — It is truly as real as it gets!

In an Instagram post on the day of the album’s release, Quayle opened up a little bit about the meaning behind the highly-anticipated project.

“The heaviness of the last 13 years is dissipating, the weight I’ve been carrying is becoming lighter and I’m excited to know me now. With this new freedom of self and what I have to say with my songs, I feel like the depth of my purpose is coming into full view. These feelings, thoughts, melodies and lyrics have been living in me for over a decade and now they get to live in the world. My greatest hope is that these songs will bring healing to others too,” she wrote.

On the Edge is yours now. I hope you love it. Thank you for always supporting me through this journey,” she concluded passionately.

Since releasing On The Edge this past November, the feedback, in her words, has been blowing  her mind, and she chatted with Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder ALL about it backstage at this year’s Country Radio Seminar back in March.

“I think when I was writing it, it was such an ‘I’ve gotta get this out of me. I cannot carry this anymore. I don’t have to carry this anymore,'” she shared. “To watch it give others permission to feel what they’re feeling and go and kind of meet their truths where they are, it’s powerful. It’s a bit overwhelming.”

In addition to this, “I feel like the On The Edge album really enabled me to open myself up as a songwriter,” Quayle revealed.

“So many more layers that I can now have access to that for a long time I had a guard. I’m just really proud of the music I’m writing and where it’s gonna lead to. It seems strange — I’ve been making music for such a long time to be this on fire for creating and making music and watching it connect with hearts and minds. That’s it. I’m getting to live the dream,” she concluded.

While it is often difficult to be one hundred percent open in a song, especially within a full-length project, Stephanie Quayle manages to remain vulnerable within all eight tracks featured on On The Edge.

“I think it’s powerful when you are vulnerable. It’s actually a lot more courageous than it is weak, and I think it’s just changing that narrative, so it’s potent,” the country songstress revealed in our EXCLUSIVE interview.

To coincide with the album itself, Stephanie Quayle has been releasing weekly episodes of her On The Edge Podcast, with each one elaborating on a different track from the album and diving deeper into the true meaning behind the song.

“I love to talk and share about the songs, so the podcast really is that extension of the album and the stories behind the story, because it is so much, you know, stranger than fiction, like the song says. To be able to share it like this is really cool,” she gushed.

The talented singer-songwriter continued, “I love being able to share my voice that way, and I think it feels on purpose with the music, so it makes me feel like, ‘Okay, I’m doing something that’s gonna help people.'”

“Listening to the songs hits one way, but when I hear my voice sharing the story, it hits completely different, and it really does just hit harder when it’s in spoken word versus the song. I think that it’s definitely shook me a little,” she concluded.
