Taylor Austin Dye Shares the Spine-Chilling Story Behind Her Newest Single “Bible Belt” (Exclusive)

Taylor Austin Dye is as real as it gets.

Hailing from the small town of Booneville, Kentucky, the singer/songwriter has captured the hearts of audiences with her authentic country sound and undeniable talent, creating music that sheds light on some of the not-so finer things in life.

Taylor has released two singles in 2023 so far, “Rest In Peace” and “Bible Belt,” gearing up for a full-length album by the end of this year. Her loyal “Ride of Dyes” can’t wait to see everything she has on the horizon, and Celeb Secrets got an exclusive look at what’s to come ahead of her performance at CMA Fest 2023 in June.

Earlier this summer at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, the talented singer-songwriter opened up to us to talk about her most recent release titled “Bible Belt,” as well as what her upcoming album will entail.

“I was born and raised [in] the poorest county in the United States for years and years and years, and I think we’re still in like the top 10 or something… I’ve just seen a lot of people go through a lot of hard stuff, you know, just like really hard times,” the budding songstress revealed to us regarding her brand new single “Bible Belt,” which hit all music streaming platforms on June 23rd.

“I knew this person that had a hard life, and she did some things that she had to do, you know, to get by, and I think it’s just a story of Appalachia in the South and any kind of rural area really… Just doing what you gotta do to get by,” she concluded.

“Bible Belt” is one of Taylor Austin Dye’s beloved storytelling songs, and it draws a lot of similarities to her smash hit “Rest In Peace,” which has been making waves on both country radio and social media as of late.

“I really love writing like storytelling songs,” the soon-to-be country star dished. “If you know my song ‘Rest In Peace,’ it’s also a big storytelling song, so I’m really into that… I started writing songs a long time ago, and they’re always kind of just like about this, that and the other, but now I’ve really started to deep dive into like my life and it’s been hard, but it’s also been very like therapeutic.”

“‘Rest In Peace’ deals with a lot of like domestic abuse, and I’ve had so many people come through and say it’s helped them in their life, and they’ve been able to get out, and so that just gave them courage to do that… That’s what I’m here for, and I hope that people will keep getting inspired by it,” she concluded with a grin.

While “Rest In Peace” and “Bible Belt” are absolutely phenomenal, Taylor Austin Dye has barely scratched the surface of everything she has in store.

“I can tell you I’m putting out a full album this year, and we’ve already got it mostly recorded, so we’re very excited to start sharing all those tracks,” she revealed to Celeb Secrets.

When asked how she decided which tracks would make it onto the project, the rising country star explained that “it was so hard,” because “a lot of the songs are brand new that have just been written in the last six [to] nine months.”

“We’ve just really been writing toward this album, so we really like had that in mind the whole time when I’ve been in my writing rooms and everything, so it’s been hard… I think all the songs that are going on are songs that I love and I believe in, so I hope you all like them too,” the musical maestro teased, before diving in to the overall sound of the project.

“So I’m country for sure, but I also draw from like southern rock,” she spilled. “Like I’m a huge Koe Wetzel fan. I love Nickelback. Like, I love Eminem. I’m all over the place, so it’s more of like a rockin’ country type vibe. Like Gretchen Wilson, but make it a little Koe Wetzel.”

With this one-of-a-kind sound, we know that her forthcoming album will be nothing short of spectacular!

Aside from the release of her upcoming album, the emerging artist has TONS of live performances lined up that you will definitely not want to miss…

“I’m gonna be on the road a ton. I just signed with UTA (United Talent Agency), and they’re a booking agency, so we’re gonna be all over festivals, fairs, clubs, bars, you name it. We’re coming all over the United States and I’m pumped,” she gushed, prior to sharing what one of her legendary live performances entails.

“Our performances are wild,” the star-in-the-making shared with a giggle. “It’s a lot of bourbon, you know, drinking together, having fun… My main goal is for everybody there to have a good time, so usually like I’m making sure everybody either, you know, [has a] drink in their hand or is just like partying it up. It’s high energy, and I think you can expect that if you come to one of our shows.”
