Taylor Swift leads the pack with a whopping eight nominations at this year’s show, where she’ll be looking for a repeat “Video of the Year” victory after breaking records last year to become the only artist to win three times in the highly coveted category.

SZA is not far behind with six nominations, followed by Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith with five and BLACKPINK, Diddy and Shakira with four. Other top finalists include Metro Boomin, Rema, GloRilla and Ice Spice, with boygenius, FLETCHER, JVKE, Lauren Spencer Smith, PinkPantheress and Stephen Sanchez earning their first-ever VMA nominations.

Beginning today, fans can vote for their favorites across 15 gender-neutral categories, including the all-new “Best Afrobeats” category, plus the highly-coveted “Video of the Year,” presented by Burger King®, and “Artist of the Year” categories, by visiting vote.mtv.com through Friday, September 1st; voting for “Best New Artist” will remain active into the show on Tuesday, September 12th.
