Taylor Swift is back on tour and as to no one’s surprise is breaking records once again!
The sensation played 44 songs and conjured actual magic during the opening weekend of her Era Tour in Glendale, Arizona – a city that recently changed their name to “Swift City” in honor of the artist kick starting her tour in their city.

The Eras Tour set a record for the most tickets sold by an artist in a single day by selling approximately 2.4 million of them on the first day of presale alone. She also shattered the mark for the most people who attended a female artist’s concert, which had stood for 36 years with 70,000 people in attendance on day one alone of her tour.

Swift surpassed Madonna with the 70,000 attendees, who had previously held the record by 63,000 people at the Anaheim Stadium in Los Angeles in 1987. She is also now currently competing with Madonna to become the highest-grossing female touring of all time. However, some fans may argue she will soon conquer this title as well by the end of her 52-show Era’s Tour all throughout North America.
The last time the 33-year-old phenomenon was on tour was in 2018 with her Reputation World Tour. Swift released four unheard songs the day before her Era’s Tour, “Eyes Wide” (Taylor’s version), “Safe & Sound” (Taylor’s version), “If This Was a Movie” (Taylor’s version), and “All of The Girls You Loved Before.”
