Sarah’s Dramatic Date
Sarah, having no idea what has been said about her, was ecstatic for her one-on-one date with Clayton. However, the date quickly turned ugly when he brought up the accusations Mara made about her earlier in the week.
Telling Sarah, “It was brought to my attention last night by someone that people here may not be ready for what it is that I’m looking for, and that it’s not possible for them to be engaged by the end of this journey — and you were the person that they were speaking of.”
Completely shocked by his statement, the 23-year-old quickly got emotional and tried to explain how ready she is for marriage and how she would not come on the show if she wasn’t. It wouldn’t be a Bachelor episode without tears, and they were definitely falling from Sarah’s face as Clayton says he didn’t mean to upset her.
Clayton steps away for the second time this episode to recollect his thoughts. While Sarah is left to cry and question who would say that about her, both Sarah and Bachelor Nation knows that she is not mature enough to handle a marriage. He returns to say that he realizes the strong connection they have and ends up giving her a rose.
After the date, Sarah makes her way to the hotel and now out for revenge for whichever woman told Clayton that she isn’t ready to get engaged. A cliffhanger ensues and Bachelor Nation has to wait until next Monday to see the drama unfold between Sarah and Mara.
