Brady’s career ends after twenty-three incredible years that all started on April 16, 2000 – when the New England Patriots selected Brady with the 199th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

The day that things changed on the field for TB12 was on September 23, 2001, as a second-year pro-Brady was placed into the Patriots week two matchup against the New York Jets after Drew Bledsoe suffered a severe injury; the Pats would end up losing that matchup 10-3.
However, Brady would remain the starter from that point on and lead New England to an 11-3 regular season record after he took over the team at 0-2. To make it even more legendary, Brady and the Pats would win the first of six eventual titles to become arguably the greatest dynasty the league has ever seen.
Brady would later win five more Super Bowl titles with the Pats, and the fifth one might be even more impressive than the first as Brady and the Patriots came back from being down 28-3 in the third quarter of Super Bowl LI to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28.
Brady’s final season with the Patriots came in 2020 after he left his long-time team and headed to sunny Florida to become a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When Brady joined the Bucs, the team had not reached the playoffs since 2007. Then suddenly, when Brady took over as their signal-caller, the Buccaneers captured their second Super Bowl title in franchise history as Brady and the Bucs defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV.

Brady would play two more seasons in Tampa, and his iconic career came to an end on January 16, 2023, when the Buccaneers were eliminated from the postseason by the Dallas Cowboys.
With all that said, Brady’s impact is not just in numbers and accolades as he is now and has been, for some time, the ultimate standard in what athletes coming into the league should strive to be in their professional careers. Brady has inspired millions of individuals worldwide to work hard, believe in themselves, and compete to the highest degree possible.
To go back to someone mentioned earlier in Patrick Mahomes, Mahomes is a spectacular example of someone who looked up to Brady and is now achieving things at a pace that only Brady reached. Mahomes is heading into his third Super Bowl appearance in the coming weeks in his fifth season as a starter.
