“The Great American Baking Show” franchise is adding another gem to its resume as it was announced a few days ago that “The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday Special” will be debuting on December 2 on The Roku Channel.
The limited series will be co-hosted by “The Office” star Ellie Kemper and “Severance” star Zach Cherry; the cast of the show will include “Father of the Bride” star Chloe Fineman, Super Bowl champ Marshawn Lynch, and YouTube star Liza Koshy.
Six celebrities will go head-to-head in a baking competition to earn the title of “star baker.” It will be interesting to see celebrities from different walks of life, such as TV, sports, and social media, battle it out in the kitchen and show what they can do as bakers, which is more than likely out of each of their comfort zones.
Kemper and Cherry will undoubtedly bring much entertainment and comedy throughout their time as co-hosts on the show due to their excellent history with humor, including Kemper’s time as “Erin Hannon” on The Office and “Kimmy Schmidt” on “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”; as well as Cherry’s role as “Dylan George” in the Apple TV+ hit show Severance.
The Great American Baking Show franchise has had a great run of producing warm and fun-filled content for families around the world, and this new special will make us all feel in the “Christmas spirit.”
