After breaking the news about Marvel Studios’ The Marvels back at San Diego Comic Con in 2019, fans have been on the edge of their seat waiting for more details. And today (July 21), a teaser trailer and release date was revealed and its definitely something you don’t want to miss.
Giving die-hards an inside look at what to expect from the blockbuster film, Marvel Studios’ The Marvels synopsis is as follows:
“Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team-up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.'”
According to Marvel Studios, The Marvels will drop just one month after the second installment of the hit Disney+ series Loki will air on the streaming giant.
For those who don’t know, Loki stars actor Tom Hiddleston who navigates his life as one of the most mischievous villains in the Marvel universe. While there are no signs of a Loki trailer just yet, fans are speculating there *might* be a crossover of characters between the two productions since both The Marvels and Loki are a part of the MCU “Phase 5.”
