Legal disputes are being raised over Tiger Woods’ most recent split.
Erica Herman, the ex-girlfriend of the professional golfer, requested that a non-disclosure agreement she signed when they first started dating in 2017 be voided after the two split up, as a regulation that permits the annulment of NDAs in situations involving sexual assault.
Herman is suing for more than $30 million in damages after she claims he locked her out of the Florida house they once shared after they had an oral agreement that she would be able to live in the house for an additional five-years.
According to a compliant filed in October 2022 obtained by NBC News against the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust that Woods oversees, Herman claims she was duped into leaving the property after being instructed to pack a suitcase for a trip. Then was notified that she had been “locked (…) out of the Residence, removed her personal belongings, and (was) informed she could not return;” once she got to the airport while she had $40,000 in cash at the house that was then “misappropriated.”
Woods’ lawyers responded to Herman’s lawsuit regarding her allegedly being removed from the house — that after the duo broke up, she was “advised that she was no longer welcome” in the document.
They added that she “responded to the breakup by filing this lawsuit.”
Per the court records, Herman is suing under the Florida Residential Landlord Tenant Act for consequential monetary damages, injunctive relief, and lawyers’ fees.
However, the outcome is to be determined.
